Summer

What did I get up

I pictured my summer to be fun, you know going out a lot and doing a lot of sketching. Hahah none of that happened I spent of my time working, making hard to want to go out because I'll end up being tired. Also to find a job is a job in it's self so I spent weeks on my bed with my mac on job sites. 

However instead of being annoyed at myself I told myself that next summer I will set aside more time for myself so I can actually go out and explore. Funny enough I did towards the end with Shoreditch. 

Let me tell you about Shoreditch

I discovered this place when I was looking for a jazz bar for my birthday; to which I found Juno Bar. But on this journey I fell in love with the art and individuality of this city. On the walls you can fine graffiti with a message, independent shops and very unusual bars. I was told by one of my friend that this is where artists that wanted to be unconventional came (and Camden too).

One interesting fact is that East London has the high concentration of artist in the whole of Europe. 
More exploring is needed.

I got lost on my way to work, getting lost is inevitable in Barcelona because all the streets look the same. Framework

After meeting the clients we decide to come up with ideas to how the pages would be laid out. The trend right now is flat design, consisting of solid colours and minimalism. I went with flat design because it suits our audience seeing as we want the app to be simple. These were my ideas, using san serif font to giving it a young feel, as well as having a lot of white space. Located at the bottom is a progress bar, so the user knows what step they are in the app. We then put our ideas together and came up with an official layout, to which I added colour and images. These are my 2 initial ideas.

Work Placement: 3 months

It was mentioned this year that we have the opportunity to take on a placement from March to April. I was very happy about this not because I will not have to come in to University ahha, but because it's better to get has much experience as possible. Our careers advice emphasised this as she said the fact that we are University is the best time for this because employers are more willing to help you grow and allow you to make mistakes; compared to you being a graduate their expectation are higher. Also you will be in competition with people that have years of experience. Where do I want to head of to Originally I want to get out of this country and do all my work placements abroad, realistically that will be a lot of money.
