Now I have to start the long paperwork process also find an apartment in a very short time frame. I was given advice to look at Facebook groups and websites to find rooms to rent in Barcelona. However I was not finding anything I felt comfortable with, I want to live with students or people around my age. Literally I few days to go, I found an international student apartment only 30 mins away from my work place. Also the apartment is in the city, where shops and the metro are very close by.

I made sure I had my travel insurance, filled out the necessary documents for Coventry University and my internship. I underestimated how long this process was, it took me until the day I left to finish all my paper work. With this I have been given an insight into the process of working abroad, I know the mandatory documents needed from me and the company.

I have booked my flights and I'm ready to go.

Framework

After meeting the clients we decide to come up with ideas to how the pages would be laid out. The trend right now is flat design, consisting of solid colours and minimalism. I went with flat design because it suits our audience seeing as we want the app to be simple. These were my ideas, using san serif font to giving it a young feel, as well as having a lot of white space. Located at the bottom is a progress bar, so the user knows what step they are in the app. We then put our ideas together and came up with an official layout, to which I added colour and images. Work Placement: 3 months

It was mentioned this year that we have the opportunity to take on a placement from March to April. I was very happy about this not because I will not have to come in to University ahha, but because it's better to get has much experience as possible. Our careers advice emphasised this as she said the fact that we are University is the best time for this because employers are more willing to help you grow and allow you to make mistakes; compared to you being a graduate their expectation are higher. Also you will be in competition with people that have years of experience.
